Trichocereus grandiflora is the name given to a group of cacti that are bred specifically for their large flowers. As can be seen in the listing photos taken on 4/10/21, the plant being offered is currently in bloom and produces yellow flowers that are approximately 6 inches in diameter.
This cactus stands 12 inches above the soil and is up to 4-1/2 inches wide. It was photographed growing in a three gallon pot. Although this plant is already quite large, it may eventually reach a height of 3 feet.
These plants produce a multitude of flowers over a three to four month period beginning in late spring. This is also a relatively cold hard cactus that can withstand temperatures as low as 25 degrees.
The cactus must be planted in a well draining container filled with standard cactus/succulent soil. It should be provided a minimum of 4 hours of bright, indirect or filtered sunlight per day and it may scorch in full sun. These like to be watered on a regular basis during the warmest times of the year, but should only be watered once every 3 to 4 weeks during winter.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not use heat packs and we are not responsible for damage related to the cactus being exposed to cold temperatures. Any blooms present at the time of shipment may be damaged while the plant is in transit. After being transplanted, new buds should appear within a few weeks.
Shipping to any location within the contiguous United States, with the exception of those within California, is included in the listing prices. We cannot ship this cactus to destinations within the state of California or to those outside of the contiguous USA.
