The ten larger shark-eye moon and Florida rock snail shells in this listing were collected from a Texas beach and would make great new hermit crab homes. Their size, wonderful colors and great condition also make these attractive decorative or craft shells.
The largest moon snail shell measures 2-1/2 x 2-1/8 inches and has an opening of 1 X 1-3/4 inches. The smallest moon snail is 2-1/8 X 1-3/4 inches with an opening measuring 1-3/8 X 7/8 inches.
The Florida rock snail shells are between 2-3/4 and 3 inches in length and are 1-1/2 inches wide. Their holes measure 1-1/4 X 3/4 inches.
All measurements are approximate.
These were washed and scrubbed prior to being boiled for 15 minutes, though I would suggest boiling them a second time if being used for hermit crabs.

I have 18 hermit crabs, all at different sizes and stages of growth, so I have purchased A LOT or shells over the last several months. These, however, are the most beautiful shells I have ever seen. I tried Shark Eye Moon Snail shells before, but the shells I received were thin like Apple Snail shells and all the hermits that tried them on quickly switched back. These ones are a different story. They are incredibly high quality. Very thick and not fragile, all with distinctly beautiful patterns. The seller went above and beyond cleaning, polishing, and filing the edges down to perfect these beauties. He shipped them quickly and securely and even refunded me for additional shipping (I purchased two separate lots). It was a pleasure doing business with you, George!
