The American century plant, agave Americana, is a long lived succulent that is native to parts of California, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana and Florida. This is an extremely drought tolerant plant that may be added to the landscape or grown in a container. I have seen these reach a size of 15 feet in diameter and with leaves over 6 feet in length.
Performance is best when planted in full sun, however it can also tolerate partial shade. It is adaptable to almost any soil type and our plants have survived temperatures well below 20 degrees.
All of our plants have well developed root systems and will ship without soil or pots. The plants shown in the listing photos represent a portion of those that are available. There are three sizes to choose from, with the stated measurements taken between the top of the root ball and the tip of the longest leaf.
Small - 10 to 12 inches
Medium - 13 to 16 inches
Large - 17 to 24 inches
Pups that have not fully developed may be attached to some of the plants. A portion of the leaves may exhibit scarring from past events and may be removed if desired.
Shipping to any address within the United States is included in the listing price. We cannot ship these plants to addresses outside of the USA.
