This very sturdy shelf was made by joining together two pieces of driftwood that were found on the Texas coast. Having a rustic and coastal feel, this large piece is decorative as well as functional .
A solid piece of reclaimed driftwood lumber was used for the top, horizontal portion, while two driftwood tree sections were used for the shelf base. The top is textured, and several embedded nails rise above the surface.
The top shelf measures 34 inches in length, is 7-1/2 inches wide and 1-1/4 inches thick. The height (as measured between the top surface of the shelf and the bottom of attached driftwood) is roughly 7 inches. This fully assembled shelf has a weight of nearly 8 pounds.
The unit mounts to a wall by way of two "D" ring hangers located on the rear of the piece. Two screws and hollow wall anchors will be included and can be used to hang the shelf on a typical indoor wall.
