These eight amazing angel wing shells are in excellent condition and are the smallest angel wing shells we have ever offered. In our experience, angel wing shells of this size and in this condition are extremely rare.
The paper thin shells had to overcome incredible odds in order to be presented here. They began their journey tumbling in the surf and landing onto a Texas beach. Of the few that make it to that point, less than half survive the act of simply being plucked from the sand. They are then handled multiple times while being transported and cleaned.
The delicate shells were not found as pairs, but were matched based on size and shape after being collected. They have been lightly washed with fresh water but are otherwise as they were found on the beach.
Minor imperfections are inevitable in these very delicate shells, so please review the photos carefully before purchasing. The shells in this listing range from 1-3/8 to 1-1/2 inches in length.
