Harvested from trees in Eastern Texas, these healthy ball moss clusters can be grown in terrariums, on tree limbs or just about any wood surface. They are a great way to add variety to an existing air plant or succulent display.
Contrary to the common name given to this plant, Tillandsia recurvata is actually a member of the Bromeliad family. The plants can be easily grown indoors or out and have care and maintenance needs identical to other tillandsia. Simply provide them with plenty of bright, filtered sunlight and mist weekly with non chlorinated water. Although they can survive temperatures as low as 5 degrees Fahrenheit, prolonged exposure to anything below 20 degrees should be avoided. The plants spread by way of seeds, and the seed stalks can be seen in a portion of the listing photographs.
Each order will contain your choice of two or four ball moss clusters, in either a small or large size. Small clusters measure 2-1/2 to 3 inches in diameter and large clusters are 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 inches. All clusters will be naturally attached to small tree branch sections and bloom stalks as well as seeds may be present depending on the growth stage at the time of shipment. Clusters representative of what will be shipped are shown in the photos.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not use heat packs and are not responsible for damage related to the plants being exposed to cold temperatures.
