This piece was created by removing the root section of a very old red cedar tree and was collected from a densely wooded area in Central Texas. It has been modified to stand inverted, resulting a visually striking natural piece that could be used for decorative purposes, as a unique mounting surface for tillandsia or as a planter for almost any other type of plants.
After being found the piece was trimmed to size and the cut surfaces were sanded. The wood has been washed and lightly scrubbed to reveal the wonderfully weathered surfaces, flowing lines, natural troughs and recesses. It stands 31 inches tall and has arms that create a diameter of 20 x 14 inches. This piece is very solid and weighs approximately 15 pounds.
