Blue Torch Cactus, One or Two Plants, Pilosocereus Azureus - Free US Shipping

$16.00

Pilosocereus azureus is a cactus that is native to Brazil and arguably one of the most beautifully colored of all cacti. Also known as the Blue Torch Cactus, their bluish green to deep powder blue stems are lined with golden yellow spines and may reach a height of 10 feet.

These are being made available in two sizes with each order containing your choice of one or two Pilosocereus azureus plants. A portion of the well rooted cacti are shown in the listing photographs and all are thick for their size, measuring 1-3/4 to 2-1/4 inches in diameter at their widest points.

The smaller plants stand 3 to 3-1/2 inches above the soil and are shown growing in their 4-1/2 inch pots.
Larger plants are 5-1/2 to 6-1/2 inches tall and were photographed in their 6 inch pots.

These will be shipped without soil or pots.

The Blue Torch can tolerate temperatures down to 36 degrees for short periods of time, however they should not be exposed to anything below 50 degrees on a regular basis. They require direct sunlight for a minimum of 5 hours per day and must be planted in soil that drains very well. During the warmer portions of the year, allow the soil to dry completely before watering again. Water only once every three to four weeks between late fall and early spring.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not use heat packs and are not responsible for damage related to the plants being exposed to cold temperatures.
