After being collected directly from the branches of Live Oak trees growing on our Texas ranch in September of 2024, these acorns were baked for several hours to sterilize and dry them. All have naturally attached caps in place and lack the holes caused by insects that are common in many acorns. These are available with or without small stems that may assist in using them for certain craft projects.
All acorns are all approximately 1/2 inch in diameter. They are roughly 5/8 to 3/4 of an inch in length, with the stems adding an additional 1/3 to 5/8 of an inch if that option is selected.
There will be 85 to 95 pieces contained in each cup of non-stemmed material and 80 to 90 pieces in every cup of acorns with stems. The third and fourth listing photos show the acorns contained in an average cup of each acorn type.
