Euphorbia ammak cristata, or Crested African Candelabra, are rare succulents that are difficult to come by in the size being made available in this listing. As the plant grows older, upright stalks will continue to emerge from the deeply ribbed and twisted mounds adding to the already unusual appearance. Despite their rarity this succulent is easy to grow.
All sides of the exact plant being offered is shown in the listing photos. It measures 9x7 inches in diameter and stands up to 9 inches above the soil. This specimen was photographed growing in an 8 inch diameter pot.
This well rooted plant will be shipped with a portion of the soil however the pot will not be included.
These may be grown in an area that receives bright indirect sunlight (a sunny window will do), partial shade or full sun. They require soil that drains very well and should only be watered when the top several inches of soil has dried. Hardy in USDA zones 9b to 11b, these Euphorbia can withstand very brief periods of freezing temperatures, however will not survive if exposed to anything below 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
