This listing features stumps that were found on my Central Texas ranch and are the remains of red cedar trees that died at some point in the distant past. The outer layers of wood have decayed, leaving behind the durable heartwood interior. There are a variety of colors textures and other features displayed by these pieces, but all have a weathered and rustic appearance.
After being collected, the stumps were washed and scrubbed to remove the vast majority of the loose material that was present. The trunks were then cut, allowing them to stand in an inverted position, roots up, as shown in the photographs. The three pieces are available individually and can be identified by their corresponding letters. Multiple sides as well as a top view are shown.
In the descriptions below, "Base Diameter" documents the largest and smallest measurements that can be found at the bottom of each piece.
"Overall Diameter" is the widest and most narrow measurements near the top of each piece and includes the length of the roots that radiate from the trunk.
"Height" is the distance from top to bottom when standing on the flat base.
