Appearing as though they were removed from a beach today, it is difficult to believe that these fossilized shells are more than 35 million years old. They were preserved in remarkable detail and are sure to be the perfect material for a unique project or craft.
All were collected from an area along the banks of the Brazos River in Texas, a site often referred to as "Rock City", as this was the name of the town that once existed near the collecting site.
There are 20 tiny and rather fragile seashells in this lot. The largest measures 24 x 16 x 14mm (0.95 x 0.63 x 0.55 inches) and the smallest is 10 x 4 x 4mm (0.39 x 0.16 x 0.16 inches).
