Collected from several Central Texas locations, this colorful petrified wood has been sorted to only include hard material with a higher silica content.
There are many possible uses for this material, but all of the pieces are selected with tumbling in mind. Thin flakes of petrified wood have been eliminated and all of the pieces will have a thickness of 1/3 of an inch or greater.
This raw material is being offered in three different sizes: Small, Medium and Large.
Each pound of Small size petrified wood that is ordered will contain 12 to 18 pieces, there will be 6 to 10 pieces for each pound of Medium petrified wood and every pound of Large petrified wood will contain 3 to 5 pieces. The second listing photo shows a side-by-side comparison of the stone sizes that can be expected for each option. Photos three through eight each show examples of 5 pounds of the material in a given size.
