LARGE Trichocereus Grandiflora "Sun Goddess", 5 Gallon Hybrid Torch Cactus - FREE US Shipping

Trichocereus grandiflora is the name given to a group of cacti that are bred specifically for their large flowers. The Sun Goddess variety produces white flowers that are typically 6 inches in diameter.

The exact plant being offered is shown in the listing photographs. This cactus stands 14-1/2 inches above the soil and is up to 6 inches in diameter. It also has five offsets, with the two largest being 3 to 3-1/4 inches in diameter. These dimensions do not include the length of the spines. It was photographed growing in a 5 gallon container. Although this plant is already quite large, it may eventually reach a height of 3 feet.

These plants produce a multitude of flowers over a three to four month period beginning in late spring. This is also a relatively cold hard cactus that may withstand temperatures as low as 25 degrees, however it should be protected from anything below 35 degrees if at all possible.

The cactus must be planted in a well draining container filled with standard cactus/succulent soil. We suggest using a pot that is at least 10 inches in diameter and 12 inches deep. It should be provided a minimum of 4 hours of bright, indirect or filtered sunlight per day and it may scorch in full sun. These like to be watered on a regular basis during the warmest times of the year, but should only be watered once every 3 to 4 weeks during winter.
