Myrtillocactus geometrizans (also known as Blue Myrtle Cactus, Billberry Cactus, Blue Flame and Blue Candle Cactus) is a fast growing succulent native to Mexico. These plants branch to form candelabra-like trees as they mature and larger plants produce edible fruit in the spring. Their attractive bluish-green color and hardiness make them a great low maintenance choice for a xeriscape, rock garden or planter.

Myrtillocactus geometrizans can easily grow to a height of 8 feet, and can reach 15 feet under ideal conditions. Although they can survive temperatures as low as 25 degrees, they should be protected from frost and freezing if at all possible. Their needs are typical of most other cacti. Plant them in well draining soil and in a planter having plenty of drainage. Water when dry during summer months and only once per month at other times of the year. Full sun is ideal, however they can tolerate a partially shaded location.

These are being offered in your choice of three sizes, with one or two being included with each order. Large plants will have a height of 7 to 9 inches and are shown growing in 6 inch pots. Medium size plants will be between 4 and 5 inches tall and are shown in 4 inch containers. Small plants are 2-1/2 to 3 inches tall and are shown in their 4 inch pots. All of these plants are very well rooted and the listing photos show a portion of the cacti that are being made available. These will be shipped with a minimal amount of soil and no pots will be included.

Shipping to any address within the contiguous United States, with the exception of those in California, is included in the listing prices. We cannot ship these cacti to destinations within California or to those falling outside of the contiguous USA.
