Epiphyllum anguliger (Disocactus anguliger), also known as zigzag cactus, ric rac orchid cactus and fishbone cactus, is an unusual and exotic plant that is native to Mexico. This is an easy to care for succulent that can be grown in any brightly lit location.
The flat stems grow upright at first and gradually droop as they become longer, eventually reaching lengths of up to 3 feet. Because of this growth habit, these plants look great when planted in hanging baskets or wall mounted planters.
The zigzag cactus needs to be planted in well draining soil. The soil should not be allowed to become completely dry between spring and summer. Allow the soil to dry completely before watering during fall and winter. These plants thrive when provided 5 to 8 hours of bright indirect light and should not be exposed to direct sunlight, especially late in the day. Although hardy to around 50 degrees Fahrenheit, it prefers temperatures ranging from 60 to 80 degrees.
Each order will contain your choice of 10 or 20 individually rooted zigzag plants that will be between 4-1/2 and 5-1/2 inches in length. The listing photos show plants representative of those that are available planted in 4 inch pots. A small amount of soil will be included to protect the roots during transit, however the pots will not be shipped.

All individuals arrived secure and in good shape! I was pleased to see new growth on one of them as well. Roots were very dry, but that is to be expected so don’t fret if that happens to you. Would recommend this product!
